EXCITING IMPROVEMENTS COMING TO WESTGATE AND CHALONER STREET


We’re pleased to share that Esh Construction are scheduled to start in April, and works include;

✅ Upgraded pavements including a wider pavement on the south side of Westgate

✅ Fresh street furniture to enhance the town’s character

✅ A new pedestrian crossing near New Road for improved access

✅ Feature lighting, including tasteful lighting displays and replacing the tree lights, to create a vibrant atmosphere by night

These updates will enhance Westgate and Chaloner Street, creating a more welcoming and accessible space for residents and visitors. These improvements are funded by Government.

To help visualise the timeline for the upcoming change, a phasing map have been created and can be viewed HERE

In addition, Guisborough Library will be transformed into a more lively hub and a place for the community to meet, learn, play, explore and connect.
