Guisborough town centre improvements
EXCITING IMPROVEMENTS COMING TO WESTGATE AND CHALONER STREET
We’re pleased to share that works by Esh Construction are now underway on Westgate and Chaloner Street. The improvements include:
✅ Fresh street furniture to enhance the town’s character
✅ A new pedestrian crossing near New Road to improve access and safety
✅ Feature lighting, including tasteful lighting displays and replacement tree lights, to create a vibrant atmosphere after dark
These updates will enhance Westgate and Chaloner Street, creating a more welcoming and accessible space for residents and visitors. The improvements are funded by Government.

In addition, Guisborough Library will be transformed into a more lively hub and a place for the community to meet, learn, play, explore and connect.

Don't forget that you can call in and see a member of the project team at Sunnyfield House on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am until 4pm for the duration of the works.

Work is now complete to make it easier and safer for pedestrians to access Guisborough Library.
A new footpath has been installed to separate pedestrians from vehicles for safer access
The tarmac road has also been resurfaced.
