Redcar High Street Update - Works Nearing Completion

The works to Redcar High Street are nearing completion. In the run up to Christmas, the vast majority, if not all of the new paving blocks will have been laid provided the weather continues to be reasonably mild for this time of year.
The circular areas of base course tarmac around the Anchor Attraction building site and those at the top of Dundas Street and Bath Street will receive their final coating of sand-coloured tarmac, again provided the weather doesn’t get too cold!
In the New Year, new bins, planters and benches will be installed – and the contractor will undertake final cleaning and snagging works – including relaying some areas which have been identified as needing rectification. There will be a small area of around 10 metres by 5 metres still hoarded off to allow the contractor to complete these final set of works prior to full completion in March.
All in all, even if poor weather holds the contractor back for a few weeks, the works are scheduled for completion far earlier than was originally envisaged.
Once again, thanks for your ongoing patience and understanding.
Thank you for your contribution!
