Redcar High Street- Temporary Relocation of Market

Due to the works starting on Redcar High Street this week, tomorrow’s market will be split between both Queen Street and the blue clock end of the High Street. All stallholders will be there as usual.

We ask that residents and visitors do not park on Queen Street (from Walker Street to West Terrace) on Thursdays from 4pm, so the market can set up for the next day. Parking will be back available on the street on Fridays from 5pm when the market closes. This arrangement will be in place for 18 months.

Please continue to support local businesses and the market while works are carried out. Once complete, you will find a revitalised High Street with new paving, new street furniture, landscaping with plants and trees, and improved lighting.

Improving the appearance of the High Street was one of the biggest priorities for residents when consulted by the Redcar Town Deal board, the funders of the project.
