High Street Update

Progress is moving well across all phases of the town centre transformation!

• Phase 1 (near King Edward VII clock)
  Paving and street lighting are nearly complete. Cleaning, sealing, and drainage works are ongoing near Clinkards, and preparations for the Christmas tree installation are underway. 🎄
• Phase 2a (toward Bath Street)
  Paving is progressing toward Bath Street. Hoarding will be reduced in stages, and temporary lighting is in place while permanent connections are finalised.
• Phase 2b (toward Blue Clock)
  Utility works are ongoing, paving is underway, and hoarding will be reduced in time for the festive season. Temporary lighting is in place while permanent connections are finalised.
• Blue Clock
  The Blue Clock has been disconnected as part of the installation of new lighting and will be switched back on when the electrical works are completed.
• Benches
  The benches previously located near Miss Lilly’s have been moved nearby onto the High Street (see location plan).
