High Street Improvements Update: January 2025

C.R Reynolds Ltd. has been appointed as Principal Contractor to carry out work to revitalise the look of the High Street with new paving, new street furniture, landscaping with plants and trees and improved lighting.

The contractor will phase these works to ensure minimum disruption to the shops on the High Street and the people using them. All businesses will be open as usual throughout the works.

The Town Deal team and Council is also working closely with the organisers of the town centre market to ensure that during each phase of works, an appropriately sized space is made available to ensure there is as little disruption to traders as possible.

It is anticipated that work will start on the High Street in the Spring.
