Top marks awarded in Considerate Constructors Scheme Audit

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit organization established in 1997 by the construction industry to enhance its public image. Construction sites, companies, and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice. The Scheme aims to encourage best practices beyond statutory requirements within construction activities, focusing on three key areas:

  • Respect the community: Minimize disruption and maintain positive relationships with neighbours and the public.
  • Care for the environment: Reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
  • Value their workforce: Foster a supportive, inclusive, and healthy work environment.

By achieving the full marks in a recent audit, the Redcar Central Station is achieving the highest possible score of 5 stars in all five sections of the Code of Considerate Practice. This signifies exceptional performance in all aspects of considerate construction, including community engagement, environmental impact, workforce welfare, site appearance, and safety.

Well done to all involved.
